The SRT and its Annual Conference

The SRT was founded in 1993 under the auspices of The Royal College of Radiologists. The society is a non-profit making organisation, run by radiology trainees specifically to promote radiology training and education in the UK.
This online forum is open to all those interested in issues relating to radiology training and education in the UK, including all current specialist registrars, those involved with radiology training, and clinicians considering radiology as a career.
Every year, the SRT holds annual general meetings across the country. Expert speakers are invited and special masterclass sessions are held. We also use this time to socialise and enjoy the sites and sounds of the surrounding city/town.
The AGM attracts radiology registrars, foundation doctors, medical students and clinicians from medical and surgical backgrounds keen on securing a training job in radiology and/or seeing a diversity of interesting cases which is of relevance to the FRCR, MRCP and MRCS exams!

Elections for new committee members take place at our Annual Conference.

The committee is voted for by trainees attending the annual SRT conference at the AGM. If you would like to be a part of our committee or would like to have further information on what our individual roles entail, please do email the appropriate person in role via the ' Contact Us ' page. 
There may be an outflux of current committee members this year meaning that this year there is a  chance of getting involved on the committee should you wish to!

The voting for committee positions will take place at the SRT Annual Conference via anonymised ballots. You need to have registered for the conference in order to be considered for a position. Only trainees attending the conference will be able to vote for the new committee. 
All interested parties must write a max 250 word summary of why they feel they would be a good addition for the SRT committee and email the  
SRT President  before 1st May 2017. The summaries will be posted in the programme for other delegates to read and reflect before voting. You will be required to give a 2 minute oral presentation prior to voting.
There is no need to apply for a specific role - just apply to be on the committee. The new committee voted in at the conference will decide between themselves their strengths and suitable roles for the year ahead.
